Leslie Engelhart is a western artist who knows cowboys, horses, and mules. The detail of her pencil drawings comes from her familiarity of her subjects. She grew up in the ranching and mule packing country of Eastern California, and it is this rural ranch and pack outfit background that provides her with the contemporary western themes she draws.
